Today was a LONG day.
The day started normal enough - wake up, get dressed, and eat. But this was only beginning ;P
By 11 we were in the car to King County Aquatics Center for the kids to get placed for swimming classes. It took a little while for the instructor to come to us but in the mean time we enjoyed the sauna like environment and watching the infants enjoy their time in the pool. The testing took just a moment and they all did well with the exception of Caleb whose near drowning has still left its mark. It was all over in a matter 5 or 10 minutes and that was supposed to be the end of it but they all wanted to swim. So, I went back upstairs to pay for classes and family swim. Downstairs I went again to watch the kids (I was actually supposed to be in the pool with them) swim and continually monitor Caleb and Malachi. The family swim time seemed to drag on forever but of course it didn't and was over in little more than 30 minutes. An hour and a half and a little over $300 later we were leaving the Aquatic Center.
Back in the car we go to head home and make lunch. It took me just a little bit to make lunch and so we were all getting to eat at about 1:30pm. I was happily looking over McKenna's BASI test results when I realized that today is Track and Soccer also! Yeah - Kids "get ready again we have to go soon." By the time we got in the car it had started to rain a little and the wind was blowing. Caleb of course took my advice to get a coat on as to mean that he should just exchange his shirt for a long sleeved polo. That works - right!?
All in all it was a good day - just very very busy. I am tired and it's only just turned 5:30pm. I think it'll be a good night tonight and I just hope they are tired too! : )
